We chose to host our wedding at Ray's because we knew the food was delicious and the view is undeniably beautiful. What we did not know was the level of service and professionalism offered through their event hosting! Peter, Gabe, and their team truly showed up to provide us the wedding of our dreams and we received many compliments from our guests on what a beautiful day it was. Peter was so helpful and attentive during the entire planning process, answering any and all questions I had and being so ahead of everything to keep us on track. Both before and after the ceremony, they took the time and attention to keep us feeling relaxed and totally supported. We felt confident that we could close our eyes, give them the reigns, and let the day unfold in front of us!

Additionally, the food was INCREDIBLE - ignore my bias here - but truly the best wedding food I've ever had. Let alone, the best cooked salmon I've ever had! The food was another thing we got so many positive remarks on from our guests.

This venue is truly special, and shines on it's own (especially during a killer sunset) and really didn't need a ton of extra design to make it look like a gorgeous and dreamy event. We sincerely appreciate Ray's for providing us a day beyond our imagination and one that we will never forget.

We had the most wonderful experience hosting our wedding at Ray’s Boathouse. The venue itself is so beautiful that we hardly needed any extra décor—it truly speaks for itself. One of the big reasons we chose Ray’s was because they handle the majority of the setup, including chairs and tables, which took such a huge lift off of us and allowed us to focus on the more personal touches.

We worked closely with Peter, who was incredibly helpful throughout the planning process. You could tell he has been doing this for a long time—his experience showed in how smoothly he guided us through everything. He patiently answered all of our many questions, was always quick to respond to emails, and provided thoughtful guidance during our rehearsal walk-through that made us feel confident and at ease.

On the wedding day, the entire banquet staff went above and beyond. Everyone was so friendly, attentive, and professional. Everything ran so smoothly behind the scenes that we didn’t even notice the logistics unfolding—we were simply able to be present and enjoy every moment.

Our day was truly magical, and we couldn’t have asked for a better team or venue to bring it all together. Thank you, Ray’s Boathouse, for making our wedding unforgettable!

As a Ballard native, I'm a frequent customer at Ray's. That's why it was a no-brainer to host my rehearsal dinner there and that choice was a smart one! The staff was responsive, communicative, and helpful. The venue was stunning (which was helped by the beautiful October sunset we experienced), the food was incredible, and the drinks were flowing! Highly recommend.

We looked at several venues but knew pretty quickly when we saw Ray’s that it was the one. Amazing views whether it’s sunny or not. Plus they have hosted so many weddings they just know what they’re doing. Our guests loved it. Peter was our main contact and was always responsive despite having who knows how many events to support. He also stepped in with helpful suggestions in so many ways throughout the planning and during the event. The staff was kind and professional and both available and unobtrusive during the event. We both consider this the best choice we made for all of our wedding plans.

Absolutely beautiful venue and service! I was particularly impressed with Peter's support up to and during the wedding to ensure all went smoothly. The food was delicious and table settings elegantly displayed. I wouldn't hesitate to use this place again.

While Ray's wasn't responsible for the fantastic weather, many of the other things that went well were because of Ray's team. Our wedding needed space for about 50 guests and a jazz quintet. This venue was the perfect size. The staff was attentive and prepared. I didn't feel that we were trying to do anything complicated or that our expectations were for something super-specific. (We had asked them to accommodate us with some vegetarian items which weren't exactly what they had laid out as options... which they did.) Both the ceremony seating and the table seating were arranged and decorated like what we had been shown during our initial meeting to learn about the venue. The event center has its own kitchen. While this offers some nice advantages, going into the wedding my biggest concern about the venue had to do with whether the food would be to the similarly high standard as their restaurant namesake. We started with hors d'oeuvres and then a buffet luncheon. I needn't have worried; all of the food was fantastic!

The moment I toured Ray’s, I knew that this was the perfect place for our wedding reception. Peter helped us throughout the planning process and went into great detail on everything we need to set up before the event. All the staff members were also incredibly friendly and helpful during the event! All of our guests had a blast!

Peter and the Ray's team took a lot of the burden in setting up a wedding and made sure the flow of transition was smooth. They helped with the planning and the execution was flawless. The food was fantastic, and our guests enjoyed the night!

Rays was the perfect venue for my wedding. The outdoor space is perfect with a gorgeous water view. Even if the weather can be unpredictable, the option to get a tent is there! All of the vendors I used were listed under the vendor recommendations on their website and everything turned out flawlessly. The food was delicious and the signature cocktails were the perfect wedding addition. Peter was so helpful with all of my questions. I really couldn’t have asked for a better weekend!!

Peter, Shelby, the kitchen captain, and the entire staff at Rays Boathouse provided a memorable experience for us and our guests. The overall venue was beautiful and the food was delicious. Would highly recommend!

We loved our June 2025 wedding at Ray's Boathouse! We especially appreciated Peter's help planning our wedding day. We are grateful for his quick problem solving when our DJ was a no show. Peter saved our ceremony and we look back at our wedding as a happy memory rather than a stressful one.

Thank you so much again for all of your help! All of the food was delicious, the service was fantastic, and the whole thing was beautiful overall! We hugely appreciate you and everyone else at Ray's helping to make it such a lovely and memorable experience!

Hannah and the entire team in the banquet department were amazing. From great communication and coordination prior to the event, to the day of and handling some last-minute changes and requests. They were responsive, supportive, creative, and can do focused. This was a very special event for us and their team really helped make it happen.

Special thanks to the banquet captain, I don't want to get her name wrong here, but she was great and really helped me to stay calm and relaxed during an emotional day for us. I would absolutely do another event there, and may try to come up with one because of how easy this one was.

OMG! Everyone was blown away by the setup, the view, and the food! It all came together wonderfully! And we had an amazing sunset. Peter and the bartender were great and very observant to our group’s needs. Our visitors, who were from different parts of the country, felt really taken care of.

My wife and I live really close by and walked away feeling like we need to come to Ray’s more often!

We held our small wedding ceremony and reception at Ray's NW Room. It was the idea venue for us. We wanted a water view and great food. Ray's delivered on all of it. Everything worked out perfectly. It really helped that the weather was great in October. We had people coming up to us saying they wish they had their wedding there or they will have their wedding there when the time comes. That speaks volumes about how amazing the venue, service, and food was. My mom said it's the best wedding she's been to and we just attended my brother's wedding last year lol.

Our event in the Northwest Room to celebrate my husband was absolutely spectacular. Every guest raved about how wonderful the food was. The vegan tempura vegetables were a particular hit, especially with the kids! I really appreciate how you set up the appetizers for vegans, vegetarians, and meat/seafood eaters. One of our guests was gluten-free so I doubly appreciate the menus clearly showing the gluten-free options.

The staff was friendly and efficient. The decor was so tasteful and beautiful. And, while this was out of your control, we couldn't have asked for more beautiful weather. Herons and seals made frequent appearances. The entire ambiance was perfect.

We had SUCH a great time at the rehearsal dinner and the appetizers and dinner/dessert were perfect! Everyone loved it all! Our coordinator helped at every level! Thank you from the bottom of my heart! Again, heartfelt gratitude for all your help for such a great celebration for us!

I just wanted to thank Hannah and the Ray's staff for helping us host a wonderful party. The food was great and the service allowed things to flow so smoothly. Friends and family are telling us how much they enjoyed it. We couldn’t have done it without you!

We have held many work events at Ray's and they have all been amazing. There are so many delicious food options and a view to die for! The venue is beautiful. Their coordinator goes above and beyond to communicate through the event date and put your plan into action. All of the staff that we have interacted with are very nice and accommodating. We cannot say enough good things about Ray's and will continue to host events there!
